Our name

Three words. Three lineages. One call — and its answer.

Kwenu

/kweh·nu/ · Igbo

A call to affirm, together.

Shouted by a leader — “Igbo Kwenu!” — and answered by the crowd as one: “Yaa!” It is unity spoken aloud. Every reveal on this site is a kwenu; every share is the crowd answering.

Chroma

/χρῶμα/ · Greek

Color — and in color science, a color’s intensity.

Chroma is how fully a color is itself — not its hue, not its lightness, but its vividness. We measure it in CIELAB and ΔE, and we mean it as a compliment.

Osarieme

/o·sa·ri·e·me/ · Edo

“A gift.” The founder’s middle name.

Edo names are often whole sentences of gratitude — this one gives thanks for what was given. It is why the reveal says what it says: your colors were always yours — a gift. The Igbo side of this house calls the affirmation; the Edo side remembers where the colors came from.

Now — your colors are waiting.
